Letchworth State Park

Renowned as the "Grand Canyon of the East," Letchworth one of the most scenically magnificent areas in the eastern U.S. and was recently named the #1 State Park in America! The Genesee River roars through the gorge over three major waterfalls between cliffs--as high as 600 feet in some places--surrounded by lush forests. Hikers can choose among 66 miles of hiking trails. 

Genesee Country Village & Museum

Located in Mumford, only 30 minutes from Geneseo. Sixty-eight historic buildings for family viewing with a host of family activities week ends and year round.

Historic Aircraft Group Museum

Dedicated to the restoration, preservation, display, and flight of aircraft of the World War II and Korean War eras.  Tour the hangars and displays, including the new America at Home exhibit. The museum is open 7 days a week in summer and M-W-F Oct- March.  Call 243-2100 for special group tours.

Long Point Park, Conesus Lake

Located on Route 256 (West Lake Road) at the intersection with Long Point Road. Facilities include: picnic tables, barbecue equipment, pavilion (available for rent), restrooms, playground. 

Livingston County Historical Society and Museum

Discover the restored Wadsworth Concord Coach, Civil war memorabilia from the Wadsworth guards, or a section of the famous Big Tree that once graced the banks of the Genesee River. Uncover more of the Wadsworth story here!  Open May-October Thursdays and Sundays 2-5 or by appointment.

Historic District Walking Tour

In 1991 the Village of Geneseo was designated a National Historic Landmark Village.  Take this walking tour of Main Street and the historic district and you will discover the rich variety of architectural styles represented here within a few blocks and bounded by the Wadsworth manor houses.

Stony Brook State Park

The terrain of this stunning park is comprised of hilly woodlands, a deep gorge with rugged cliffs overlooking three waterfalls and fascinating rock formations. 1

Genesee Valley Greenway

Hike, bike, ski, snowmobile or go horseback ridging on the the 90 mile  Greenway  through scenic woodlands, river and stream valleys, rolling farmlands, steep gorges, and historic villages in Monroe, Livingston, Wyoming, Allegany, and Cattaraugus county.
